Last night I found my dad sleeping in my old room

and asked if I could sleep next to him like I was 5 year old again.

I told him how much everything hurts but sleep had already pulled him in.

"You there, you're better off here"




And before I got in the car to leave he hugged me again and whispered
"I heard you goose, everything's gonna be okay"
